Abstract

  • Banten's economy based on the size of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the second quarter of 2023 reached IDR 201.67 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it was IDR 126.24 trillion.
  • Banten's economy in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter grew by 1.11 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the business field with the highest growth was achieved by Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security at 10.86 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption component experienced the highest growth of 13.31 percent.
  • Banten's economy in quarter II-2023 against quarter II-2022 grew by 4.83 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the Other Services business field recorded the highest growth of 15.64 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was owned by the Total Net Exports component of 18.86 percent.
  • Banten's economy in the first semester of 2023 against the first semester of 2022 grew by 4.75 percent (c-to-c). From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business field of 15.13 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Total Net Exports component experienced the highest growth of 19.02 percent.
  • The economic structure of provinces throughout Java Island in the second quarter of 2023 is still dominated by DKI Jakarta which contributes 29.40 percent to GRDP throughout Java Island. Meanwhile, Banten contributed 6.92 percent.
