Development of Banten Exports and Imports, October 2023

A. Export Development

• Banten's export value in October 2023 increased by 9.86 percent compared to the previous month, from US$0.93 billion to US$1.03 billion.
• Non-oil and gas exports in October 2023 increased by 9.22 percent to US$1.01 billion compared to the previous month.
• The largest value of non-oil and gas exports in October 2023 came from the footwear goods group (HS 64), which reached US $ 198.40 million.
• The largest destination country for non-oil and gas exports in October 2023 was the United States with an export value of US$149.34 million.
• Non-oil and gas exports in October 2023 increased in the processing industry sector while the agricultural sector and the mining and other sectors decreased.
• Banten's export value in October 2023 was highest through Tanjung Priok Port which reached US$873.82 million.

B. Import Development

• Banten's import value in October 2023 increased by 26.12 percent compared to the previous month, from US$2.50 billion to US$3.15 billion.
• Oil and gas imports in October 2023 rose 24.56 percent from US$477.68 million in the previous month to US$594.98 million. Likewise, non-oil and gas commodities saw an increase in import value of 26.49 percent to US$2.56 billion when compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas import value in October 2023 came from electrical machinery/equipment (HS 85) which reached US$602.69 million.
• The largest supplier country of non-oil and gas imported goods in October 2023 was China with an import value of US$497.27 million.
• The value of imports by class of use of goods in October 2023 compared to the previous month experienced an increase in the value of raw / auxiliary materials of US $ 338.26 million (18.92 percent) and consumer goods of US $ 64.03 million (39.42 percent) and capital goods of US $ 250.68 million (45.62 percent).
