Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province will be 2.81 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.14. The highest inflation occurred in Lebak Regency at 3.76 percent with a CPI of 105.97 and the lowest occurred in Tangerang City at 2.50 percent with a CPI of 104.66.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.38 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.46 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.42 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.96 percent; health group at 0.82 percent; transportation group by 1.56 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.22 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.98 percent; education group by 0.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.16 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.47 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Banten Province in February 2024 is 0.52 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.48 percent.
