Abstract

The Banten Gender Inequality Index in 2023 was 0.464, down 0.014 points compared to 2022. The decline in gender inequality occurred in most districts/cities in Banten.
The decline in the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) is mainly influenced by improvements in the reproductive health dimension.
The improvement in reproductive health dimensions was influenced by the decline in the indicator of women giving birth not in a health facility (MTF) and the indicator of women having their first live birth aged < 20 years (MHPK20). MTF decreases from 0.137 in 2022 to 0.119 in 2023, while MHPK20 decreases from 0.261 in 2022 to 0.254 in 2023.
